Beyond standard eyeglass frames, we also provide specialty and protective eyewear, so you are prepared for whatever life throws at you.

Safety Eyewear

Protecting your eyes is essential when using power tools, handling dangerous chemicals, or working in risky situations. We can provide you with the protective eyewear you need to prevent chemicals, debris, or moving objects from striking or entering your eyes.

If you’re curious about the safety eyewear you may need for your job or project; please book an appointment today to see what we can do for you.

Sports Eyewear

42,000 sports-related eye injuries are reported every year in the United States, and more than 70% of these injuries occur in people under 25 years old. To help safeguard your and your child’s eyes from injury, we offer a wide selection of sports eyewear.

We can find you the perfect face mask, shield, or pair of polycarbonate goggles so you can keep playing. We also offer dive masks and swimming goggles so you can protect your eyes and make the most of your leisure time. While attractive frames can enhance your style, high-quality lenses can help you see clearly. We’re here to offer you a professional opinion of the type of lenses best suit your needs.

Lens Treatments

Lens coatings can help extend the life of your lenses and help them better stand up to everyday wear and tear. Please book an appointment with us so we can discuss your lifestyle and what type of lens coating is best for your needs.

We can use a variety of different treatments on your lenses:

  • Anti-reflective coating
  • Scratch-resistant
  • UV protection
  • Tinting
  • Mirror coatings

High Index Lenses

High index lenses are thin, plastic lenses that are a good option if you have a high prescription, as standard lenses can become quite thick and give you that dreaded “coke bottle” look.

Photochromic Lenses

Photochromic lenses, or “transitions”, darken when exposed to UV light. This can be beneficial as they provide continuous UV protection and can save you the hassle of switching between prescription eyeglasses and prescription sunglasses.

Multifocal Lenses

Bifocal, trifocal, and progressive lenses can help patients with multiple refractive errors enjoy clear vision at all distances.

  • Bifocals split the lens in half, with the bottom half made for near vision and the top half for distances.
  • Trifocals are split between three lens corrections, near vision, intermediate, and distance vision.
  • Progressive lenses can be bifocal or trifocal lenses but have a smooth transition between the two differing corrective powers rather than a divisive line.

We can offer you valuable insight into what type of lenses will work best for you. Please book an appointment so we can find your perfect fit.
